6 month stats

Hey guys...just wanted to let everyone know what the doctor said yesterday...

Everything went well. I am 18 1/2 lbs and 28 inches long! The doctor said that he can tell that I don't skip any meals! I can start on any solid foods that I want now. Even though I don't have any teeth, I can start eating some cereals that can melt in my mouth. I can also move onto any baby foods that I want! YUM!
I can also start trying to drink out of a sippy cup. I haven't tried yet, but I think that mom is going to give it to me soon.
I had to have 3 shots and one oral vaccine. They didn't hurt that bad...but they did make my tummy hurt at night. I felt better today!

The doctor did say that I have to go to a cranial doctor (i know...big word for a little baby!!) because of the flat spot on my head. He just wants to have things checked out. I go next Thursday...I am sure that things will be great!

Until then...

I am 6 months old!!!

I can't believe it! I turned 6 months old this weekend! I have learned so many things in the past few weeks!
First of all, I put everything in my mouth as you can see from the picture below. I like to chew on anything that is mommy's!!

I am getting better at sitting up every day! I am sit really well with my mom or dad helping me. I haven't quite gotten the hang of sitting up by myself, but I know that I will soon.

I spend most of my time trying to crawl! I can get up on all fours, but I am having a little bit of a hard time moving.
I can roll anywhere that I want to go. I am just now learning how to roll over my left side. Watch out...I can go anywhere I want now!!!
This is my teddy bear that I am playing with. I was a little bummed that the Longhorns had to postpone their game this weekend, but hopefully I can see one soon!
Mom and Dad take me to the doctor tomorrow for all of my check up stuff! I will make sure that mom let's me log on to tell you how much I weigh and how long I am!

My First Mexican Vacation

Last week I went on my very first Mexican vacation! I had so much fun! I went to Puerto Vallarta with my mom and dad. When I got there, my Lady Gran and Grandaddy were already there! Here are some pictures of my adventure!

We got to the airport in plenty of time so I got to do some playing and rolling around on the airport carpet! Our flight was delayed for over an hour, but that was OK with me. I was having a good time playing!

We got there pretty late on Thursday night. I did really well on the plane and didn't cry once! I even got my own seat! I felt like such a big kid!

I got to sleep with mom in her bed for the first time. I thought that it was fun, but mom had a different story! She said that it would be the first and only time that I was allowed to sleep in bed with her. I guess I didn't make a very good partner to sleep with!

That is OK because I did get to take lots of naps on the patio outside! It was so peaceful because I would hear the ocean as I slept!

One big event that happened while I was in Mexico is that I sat up for the first time! It was in my stroller, but now I want to sit up everywhere!

On Saturday, it was my first Longhorn game day, but I wasn't able to watch the game. Mom and Dad let me wear my game day shirt to bed the night before and let me wear it all day. I was really glad about that. You can see that I was trying to support the Horns all the way from Mexico.
I also got to go swimming for the first time! My mom made me wear this crazy hat...but I looked pretty cute! She also had to put so much sun block on me...I wasn't sure what was going on! This is my first time swimming with Dad. I wasn't sure what was happening, but I had a great time!

We also did a lot of other things...like go shopping and just walk around the downtown area of Puerto Vallarta. I was very interesting to look around and see everything. It was so different from home.

We got to go to a few good resturants while we were there. Here is me and mom on the patio one night around my bedtime. They just would not let me stay up late even though we were on vacation!

Overall I had a great time! Mom, Dad, Lady Gran and Grandaddy said that I was a great baby on the trip! I can't wait to go back soon! Hopefully by that time I will be old enough to play more in the pool and stay up late!!
